I don’t think Andrew will be answering specifics. But I will say, everyone tributes for different reasons. Some do it for pleasure, some for love, some because they know they have to.
I know you’ll be back soon for more b79, you can’t wait to send her another explosive tribute.

I wouldn’t try reading too much into my riddle b79. Just understand I have been a fan of Lili’s long before this site existed.
If someone figures out my riddle, good for them, but I tried to make it very obscure on purpose.

I would say I tribute to Lili for all 3 of those reasons to some degree. Though, I wouldn’t say anyone should ever feel like they HAVE to tribute. We should only tribute because we WANT to help support Lili. This is not a competition… and there is no 1st prize for who spends the most money on her… There is already someone who has the Lili grand prize, and unlike us, he does not need to visit this site.

TM, I want to leave saying one last thing : I understand you plan on Lili to be around on this site for a very long time…she’s exactly the type of quality of what a local store owner would leave 24/7 inside their store-front windows to bring customers in the door. We both know this.

but…please don’t ever forget my past concerns about her massive stockpile of unpublished sets and how they relate to tributes. I don’t ever want tributes be the focal point of this site. It should always be about content first and foremost. I know how many Lili sets are left approximately and I know how long it would take to get through all of them at the current pace. Frankly, also looking at the current popularity page…it still concerns me a lot. I only want the best balance to get Lili as much support as possible in the coming years, and right now I think the balance is a little off. I know the quality of what still lies in the vault. i hope i have never given yourself andrew or anyone else the impression in my comments in terms of competition or first prize type thinking, that was absolutely never part of my thinking or in my thoughts as i comment i just really enjoy commenting on lilis releases and hopefully hearing others do the same. if i personally have ever given that impression to anyone including yourself it was never ever my intention and if i did make you feel that way i would most definitely apologise.

also just for the fantasy of it andrew if you hypothetically were given permission for the posting order of lilis updates to balance with the other ladies of teenmarvel what would be your ideal frequency based on how many backlogged/stockpile releases that concerns you?

larger lili bundles?
more frequent lili updates?

That is a great question you pose at the end, b79. A question I have debated with TM on a number of occasions that I have already thought much about.

I’ll start by saying that it was never known to fans how much content Lili was shooting for many years. I knew it was significant, but something that remained mostly unknown to me until last year with the introduction of tributes. I put a lot of blame on myself for not being as proactive as I should have been… I have since fixed that problem.

To answer your question – Honestly, given the information I have now…It should have been realized that Lili needed her own sister-site with the amount of work she started producing in 2014 and how high demand she was. In fact… it had already happened before TM…in her NS days she was so in demand that NS ended up giving her not one but TWO websites of her own to release her content from. Both were VERY successful. TM…say what we will about how her old site managed her modeling… but you have to admit, they got the updates out there.

Unfortunately, It is now too late for Lili to have her own site. More frequent updates are also just not possible because there are so many other models here that deserve equal attention. No… the only real solution in my opinion is to keep her regularly scheduled updates but let us purchase larger bundles of archived content on occasion. Some older sets are event worthy… some are not. Some deserve to be released on par with her current releases…some belong in a bundle. It’s never a 1 : 1 thing with Lili.

I’ll preface this next part saying that I love to tribute Lili to help her and I also like tributes themselves for that “quick fix” and fun. TM also knows I am far from light on them…but here is my problem with tributes and how they relate to full sets in a nutshell :

Release too many sets too fast? People won’t need to buy tributes. There won’t be anything to tribute for.
Focus too much on tributes? People start getting frustrated and bored waiting weeks for current sets to slowly be released. Why not just wait til there is a sale? They have seen better. They think to themselves, should I even tribute at all if I never see the sets?

I know TM are very busy and have a lot on their plate (covid isn’t helping either) – doing any of this is not easy and site itself does not revolve around Lili. I do feel though that it’s a problem that is rapidly needing some real attention. I don’t know if TM chooses not to comment on this because they don’t want to… or they know what I have said is very accurate and requires no follow up from them.

TM you have told me this is a good problem to have. I would argue, there is no such thing as “a good problem” A problem is a problem. I write all this because I care about Lili, and honestly care about the site being the best it can be.
